The proposed organization maximizes research and teaching coordination in human toxicology across the entire Switzerland. Ambitious large research projects can only be accomplished collaboratively. Our model therefore enforces “integrative federalism” and promotes the involvement and the support of the hosting institutions.


The organization will have two levels:

• a strategic board (board of trustees),and an extended group leader committee.The strategic board is composed of representatives from the participating Universities (Basel, Lausanne & Geneva), a representative from the federal state, a representative of the Swiss Society of Toxicology, a representative of the “Swiss EcoTox Centre” and a representative from the industry.

The Center will have two operative branches: a regulatory branch and a research & teaching branch.
