Applied food toxicology (Patrick Edder, Didier Ortelli, Stefan Bieri, co-applicants)
A wide variety of contaminant can be found in food, including pesticides, veterinary drugs, PCB & dioxins, allergens and toxins or toxic substances coming from plants (e.g. alkaloids). The SCAV has introduced new technologies to develop efficient strategies to perform fast comprehensive multiresidue screening for several of those contaminants (87-94).
