The SCAHT director: Dr. med. Martin F Wilks, Ph.D.
| Martin Wilks is a physician/toxicologist with an M.D. from the Medical School Hannover, Germany, and a Ph.D. from the University of Surrey, UK. For the past 20 years he has been working in industry and the health service, initially in the UK and since 2001 in Basel. He is Honorary Consultant Medical Toxicologist at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital Trust, London, UK and a Research Fellow at the Swiss Toxicological Information Centre in Zurich. He is a Registered Specialist in Toxicology with the General Medical Council (UK), a EUROTOX Registered Toxicologist and a Fellow of the British Toxicology Society. He is currently Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the European Association of Poison Control Centres and Clinical Toxicologists (EAPCCT), serves on the Executive Council of the Swiss Society of Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology and is a member of the Advisory Panel on Plant Protection Products of the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment. |
