The Swiss Centre for Applied Human Toxicology (SCAHT) is the first centre dedicated to Human Toxicology in Switzerland.

The SCAHT is an academic network based in several cities of Switzerland covering most, if not all important fields of Human Toxicology. It conducts research and coordinates education in Human Toxicology and it is supported by the Swiss Confederation (OFSP, OFAG, SER, SECO, Swissmedic).

On this website, you will find detailed information about toxicology research and educational programmes, as well as about the Centre’s activities in the field of regulatory toxicology. Our site also features useful resources, such as a procedure to follow in the case of a suspected poising, detailed information about common toxins and links to other toxicology websites which can be searched using specific search engines.
